EMPLOYMENT
Employment Law, or Labor Law, is the body of law that mediates the rights and duties of workers (employees), employers, labor unions and the government in the United States.
There are many labor and employment laws which set the standards that govern employees’ and employers’ rights, for example, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the National Labor Relations Act, the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Occupational Safety and Health Act. Federal and state laws protect employees and workers from employment discrimination, on grounds of race, gender, religion, national origin, and age.
